Refund and Cancellation Policy
Effective Date: June 3, 2026
CMEN sells admission tickets to scheduled in-person events. Because we commit to venue contracts, catering, and event logistics months in advance based on registration counts, refund eligibility depends on when you cancel relative to the event date.
Cancellation by the Attendee
Full refund less a 20% cancellation fee — Cancellation request received in writing one hundred twenty (120) or more calendar days before the event start date.
Full refund less a 30% cancellation fee — Cancellation request received in writing between sixty (60) and one hundred nineteen (119) calendar days before the event start date.
No refund — Cancellation request received in writing fewer than sixty (60) calendar days before the event start date, or for no-shows on the day of the event.
How to Request a Cancellation
Send a written cancellation request to refunds@cmen.org including your order number and the name on the registration. The date we receive your email determines your refund tier — not the date the event occurs. Phone calls do not constitute written notice.
Approved refunds are processed within thirty (30) business days to the original payment method. Depending on your card issuer, the refund may take an additional 3-10 business days to appear on your statement.
Transfers
You may transfer your registration to another eligible attendee until thirty (30) days before the event, subject to the replacement attendee meeting all eligibility requirements. Transfers incur a $75 administrative fee. Submit transfer requests to registration@cmen.org.
Cancellation by CMEN
If CMEN cancels an event for any reason (including but not limited to insufficient registration, venue unavailability, weather, public health orders, or other circumstances beyond our control), registered attendees will receive their choice of: (a) a full refund of the ticket price, or (b) a transferable credit applicable to any CMEN event within the following twenty four (24) months.
CMEN's liability for a cancelled event is limited to the ticket price paid. CMEN is not responsible for travel, lodging, or other expenses incurred by attendees.
Force Majeure
In the event of force majeure circumstances (natural disaster, pandemic, government order, etc.), CMEN reserves the right to postpone, reschedule, or modify the event format. Where reasonably practicable, ticket holders will be offered the option of attending the rescheduled event, receiving a transferable credit, or receiving a refund.
Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you believe a charge is incorrect or you have not received the service you paid for, please contact us at refunds@cmen.org before contacting your card issuer. We aim to resolve all legitimate complaints within fifteen (15) business days.
Initiating a chargeback without first attempting resolution with CMEN constitutes a breach of these terms. CMEN reserves the right to provide your purchase history, ticket delivery confirmation, signed agreement to these terms, and event check-in records to your card issuer when defending against chargebacks initiated outside this process.
Your card statement will show CMEN.org as the merchant descriptor.
